Lahore Zoo: Best Kids Adventure Point


Lahore Zoo was established in 1872. It is one of Pakistan’s largest zoos and the world’s third-oldest zoo. It spans over 25 acres of land. The zoo includes a collection of about 1,378 animals of 135 species. The zoo offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors including a boating lake, a Joyland for children, and a gift shop. Lahore Zoo offers a range of educational and recreational activities for visitors.

Lahore Zoo Elephant

Lahore Zoo was home to several elephants. These elephants were among its most beloved and iconic residents, captivating visitors with their big size, intelligence, and gentle demeanor. Unfortunately, Lahore Zoo no longer has any elephants. The zoo’s last elephant, Suzi, passed away in 2017. Suzi was an African elephant. He lived in Lahore Zoo for over 25 years.

The Lahore Zoo remains open for visitors every day of the week, including weekends and public holidays. Monday to Sunday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Lahore Zoo Ticket Price

The Ticket Price is as follows;

  • Adults: PKR 25
  • Children (under 12 years old): PKR 10
  • Students (with valid student ID): PKR 10
  • Senior citizens (60 years and above): PKR 10

Lahore Zoo Parking

Lahore Zoo offers parking facilities for visitors arriving by car, motorcycle, rickshaw, bicycle, and even bus. Parking fees are as follows;

  • Car: Rs. 40 (PKR) per car
  • Motorcycle/Rickshaw: Rs. 20 (PKR) per motorcycle/rickshaw
  • Bus: Rs. 200 (PKR) per bus
  • Cycle: Rs. 5 (PKR) per cycle

The distance is 3.2 kilometers along Bahawalpur Rd and Queen’s Road. It will take about 11 minutes’ drive to reach.

Distance from Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore to Lahore Zoo

The distance is 5.4 kilometers along Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam. It will take about 18 minutes to drive there.
